Simple Timeline Maker Terms of Service

These Terms apply to your use of Simple Timeline Maker and purchases of Simple Timeline Maker Premium.
Simple Timeline Maker is operated by Michael Newton, trading as BlueHammyCo, a sole trader based in England.

1. About Simple Timeline Maker
Simple Timeline Maker is an online tool for creating timelines.
The free version can be used without purchasing Premium. Premium provides additional export, branding and cloud-storage functionality.
The current Premium features and pricing are described on the Simple Timeline Maker website.
2. Premium
Simple Timeline Maker Premium is a one-time purchase of £12.99.
It is not a subscription and does not automatically renew.
Premium currently includes the Premium functionality described on the pricing page, including professional single-file exports, PDF and PowerPoint export, branding options and cloud timeline storage.
Premium access is provided through your Simple Timeline Maker account.
3. Purchasing Premium
Before completing a Premium purchase, you will be shown:
- the price of £12.99;
- the main features included with Premium;
- information about how Premium is supplied;
- information about your cancellation rights where applicable; and
- these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
The purchase is completed through Stripe. Payment information is handled by Stripe in accordance with its own terms and privacy practices.
Once payment has been successfully completed, Premium will normally be activated on your account automatically. In some cases there may be a short delay while the payment is confirmed.
4. Cancellation and refunds
When you purchase online, you may have a statutory right to cancel your purchase within 14 days, depending on the nature of the Premium service and how it is supplied.
Where you have a statutory cancellation right, we will honour it in accordance with applicable consumer law.
If you ask us to begin providing the Premium service during the 14-day cancellation period, your cancellation rights may be affected in accordance with applicable law. Where the law requires your express request or acknowledgement before immediate performance affects your cancellation rights, we will obtain this before doing so.
Nothing in these Terms removes or reduces any statutory rights you have as a consumer.
If something is wrong with Premium
If Premium does not work as described, does not provide the functionality promised, or otherwise fails to meet your statutory rights, please contact us at:
We will investigate the problem and provide the remedy required by applicable law. Depending on the circumstances, this may include repairing or correcting the problem or providing an appropriate refund or price reduction.
How to request a cancellation or refund
Email hello@simpletimelinemaker.com and include:
- the email address associated with your Simple Timeline Maker account;
- the date of purchase; and
- whether you are requesting cancellation, reporting a problem, or requesting a refund.
You do not need to use particular wording to exercise a statutory cancellation right.
We will respond to your request and process any refund that is legally due using the appropriate payment method.
5. Your timelines and content
You retain ownership of the content you create or upload to Simple Timeline Maker. We do not claim ownership of your timeline content.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have the necessary rights to any text, images, logos or other material that you upload or use.
If you use Premium cloud storage, your saved timelines are stored so that you can access them through your account.
6. Your account
Some Premium functionality requires an account.
You are responsible for keeping your account information secure and for providing accurate information.
You must not use another person's account without permission or attempt to gain unauthorised access to another account.
7. Acceptable use
You must not use Simple Timeline Maker to:
- break the law;
- gain unauthorised access to the service or another person's account;
- interfere with or deliberately disrupt the service;
- distribute malicious software or harmful content; or
- abuse the service in a way that could damage its operation or availability.
8. Availability
We aim to keep Simple Timeline Maker available and reliable, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability.
The service may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, technical problems, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
This does not affect your statutory consumer rights.
9. Changes to Simple Timeline Maker
We may improve or update Simple Timeline Maker from time to time.
Changes will not remove or reduce rights you have already acquired under applicable consumer law.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personal information.
